Liverpool will have to activate the release clause of Timo Werner before the end of April, according to Bild via Sport Witness.
The German goal machine has a release clause in his contract which allows him to leave RB Leipzig for just £51 million.
Werner is likely to have other interested parties but Bild have claimed that a switch to the Premier League is his preferred choice of destination.

The 23-year-old has bagged 25 goals and registered 10 assists this season and RB Leipzig maintains their push towards a Bundesliga title.
Liverpool are 22 points clear in the Premier League and it’s unbelievable to think that they could add a striker boasting Werner’s class.
His goal record is impressive at Leipzig, with 86 goals scored in 144 appearances for the club.
Now it seems that Liverpool will only get the chance to land Werner at his relatively low release clause price if they do so prior to the end of April.
If Liverpool do meet the clause it would allow Leipzig plenty of time to find themselves an adequate replacement before the 2020/21 campaign gets underway.
TBR View – Liverpool shouldn’t delay; signing Werner should be a summer priority
Regardless of whether it’s in April or the summer, Liverpool quite simply have to land the Germany international.
Signing him at £51 million seems like a complete no-brainer and they should inform Leipzig of their intentions before that deadline.

Liverpool might be forced into changing their style ever so slightly if they do land Werner.
The 23-year-old isn’t quite the deep-lying forward that Roberto Firmino is and it’ll be interesting to see how Jurgen Klopp utilises him.
He is one of the best forwards in world football, however and given Liverpool’s relentless attacking play, he should fit effortlessly into the team.
