Liverpool are said to be interested in signing ‘Gladbach midfielder, Florian Neuhaus, with Kicker claiming this week the Reds had joined the race for the German.
Neuhaus has emerged as one of the top midfield players in Germany, outside of the very biggest clubs there anyway. Just 23, Neuhaus is already a full German international.

Jurgen Klopp, then, could well see Neuhaus as an ideal replacement for the potentially departing Gini Wijnaldum. The Dutchman has yet to sign a new deal, and could well move on this summer.
Neuhaus certainly has potential to be a top midfielder. Indeed, this was something that another former Liverpool target, Marcus Thuram, commented on back in February 2020, where he proclaimed the German was ‘simply outstanding’. (GFGN)
“Flo is simply an outstanding player. Flo deserves to be at Euro 2020. If I were national coach, I would call him 100 times,” Thuram said.
Coincidentally, Liverpool actually were linked with Thuram last summer. El Pais claiming he was a target for the Reds before they landed Diogo Jota in the summer window.
TBR View: Fine endorsement from Thuram, Neuhaus one to keep an eye on for Liverpool
The Reds can’t afford to leave themselves short next season as they have this, so if Wijnaldum does leave then expect the Reds to make a big dip into the market.
Neuhaus is certainly one to keep an eye on it seems. Talented, capable of playing the six of the eight, and impressing his fellow pros over in Germany, he seems to tick lots of boxes.
