Liverpool are being linked with a familiar face this week. It is reported by numerous outlets that Timo Werner remains an option for the Reds. According to Bild, as relayed by Metro, Liverpool believe they can get a hold of the player for £36 million as he stalls over signing a new deal at the club. His current contract expires in 2020 and Bayern Munich are also said to be keen.
However, another deal that went through this morning would suggest Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will not be pushed into making any rash moves this January.
Christian Pulisic has agreed a deal to join Chelsea. The Borussia Dortmund attacker will join permanently in the summer for a fee in the region of £58 million.

The USA international has a huge admirer in Klopp. In fact, back in 2016, they had a £11 million bid rejected for the player.
However, the Liverpool Echo recently reported that Klopp had no intention of pursuing Pulisic, even though he was seemingly now up for sale. They reported he was happy with his current front-line and did not feel any additions were needed to his table-topping side.
Now if he was not prepared to change his stance for a player he knows and admires as much as Pulisic, he is surely not about to change that opinion for Werner any time soon.
