Liverpool supporters react as club reportedly open talks for Barcelona loan

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele and are said to have opened talks over a loan move for the France World Cup winner – and Reds supporters have responded on Twitter to the news.

Dembele, 23, is still on his way back from a long-term hamstring injury that limited him to just nine Barcelona appearances last season. He has endured numerous injury problems of late, but is now back to full fitness and Liverpool are keen.

Spanish newspaper SPORT state that Liverpool have opened talks over a loan move for the ex-Rennes and Borussia Dortmund wide man. Jurgen Klopp is widely-renowned fan of Dembele, and has been linked numerous times with a move to Anfield.

However, the report states that Liverpool may struggle to bring him to Merseyside on a temporary basis. Barcelona want to get rid of Dembele but only on a permanent basis – with a previous SPORT report claiming they would sanction a £37million exit.

Liverpool may want to bring an attacker player to Anfield as cover for Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, with Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri and Rhian Brewster all being linked with moves away from the Premier League champions.

Liverpool supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club have made contact in a bid to bring Dembele on loan to Anfield – and many are desperate for Dembele, who earns £210,000 a week (Der Spiegel), to be signed.
