Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer as the France international looks as though he could be offloaded by Jose Mourinho – and Reds supporters have reacted on Twitter.
Ndombele, 23, joined Tottenham for a club-record fee last summer and is currently earning as much as Tottenham’s highest earner Harry Kane – taking home a whopping £200,000-a-week fee. His contract is due to run for another five years.
The former Lyon star impressed in glimpses under Mauricio Pochettino but just three months into his Tottenham spell, Pochettino was sacked by Spurs. Jose Mourinho has since come in, and Ndombele has plummeted down the pecking order.

It resulted in a mauling at Burnley. Starting the match, Spurs went into the break 1-0 down and completely overrun in midfield. Ndombele was hooked at half-time, and Mourinho publicly criticised him after the match.
With the global health crisis striking soon after, it is yet to be seen if those comments have had a positive impact on Ndombele. French outlet Foot Mercato claim Liverpool could offer Ndombele an escape route, on a loan-to-buy deal.
Many Liverpool supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that Ndombele could rival the likes of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and James Milner for a place in Jurgen Klopp’s side – and many feel he would be a top signing under the German boss.
