Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Juventus centre-back Merih Demiral this month and are keeping tabs on his situation under Andrea Pirlo – prompting plenty of reaction from Liverpool supporters on Twitter.
Demiral, 22, has managed just 17 appearances for Juventus since joining the Italian champions in the summer of 2019. An ACL injury limited the Turkey international to just eight outings last term.
A muscle injury this time around has seen Demiral limited to nine outings, but he did start the season first choice. Juve have options at centre-back too, in Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Matthijs de Ligt and Daniele Rugani.

Turkish site Fanatik claim Liverpool and Tottenham are monitoring Demiral with the January window now in full flow. However, those two sides are not alone. Indeed, Brendan Rodgers wants Demiral at Leicester City.
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested. TuttoJuve, an Italian site focused on Juventus news, claimed in the summer that Everton and Tottenham tested the waters with £25million bids, which were rejected.
Liverpool supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that the Reds are interested in signing Demiral to solve their centre-back crisis – and many are desperate to see him on Merseyside by the end of the window.
