Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Hoffenheim 16-year-old Melkamu Frauendorf as he enters the final few days of his current contract – and Reds supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reports.
German magazine Kicker claim a handful of Hoffenheim talents are expected to leave in the coming months, with Bayern Munich, Schalke and Hamburger SV all looking to profit. Armindo Sieb, Amadou Onana and others are expected to depart.
But Liverpool could also profit. That is because the Reds have been keeping an eye on versatile star Frauendorf – who has been a regular in the German Bundesliga side’s Under-17 side – and has been recognised at an international level.

A four-time Germany Under-16 international, Frauendorf has played 39 times for Hoffenheim’s Under-17 side and has had a hand in 11 goals during that time. He has scored seven goals in that time, laying on four assists.
Jurgen Klopp is renowned for his faith in youth and wants to add Frauendorf to a long list of teenage talent that includes Harvey Elliott, Neco Williams, Curtis Jones and plenty of others that have been given their debuts this season.
Liverpool supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Frauendorf is a target for the Merseyside outfit. Many were seemingly frustrated that Frauendorf might be the best they the Reds can hope for in the market this summer.
