Liverpool starlet Conor Bradley lauded after Northern Ireland display

Liverpool starlet Conor Bradley has been labelled a ‘joy to watch’ after the 18-year-old made his first start for Northern Ireland on Tuesday.

The trip to Bulgaria proved to be a disappointing one for Ian Baraclough’s men. They were beaten 2-1 after a superb first-half performance in Sofia.

The result has ended any hope Northern Ireland had of reaching next year’s World Cup in Qatar.

If there is one positive for Baraclough to take however, it is surely the emergence of a handful of incredibly promising young players.

There are several who look set to be stalwarts for years to come. And one of those who will certainly rack up the caps is Bradley.

The teenager was handed his first start in the game. And he went on to look very impressive until he was taken off midway through the second-half.

Plenty of fans, including a number of Liverpool supporters took to social media to insist that they had seen something special in Bradley’s display.

And it seems that some of the media were also impressed. No player received a higher rating from the Belfast Telegraph than the Reds starlet, who was handed a seven.

And in their assessment, they alluded to the excitement that he brings to the team.

“First competitive start for the Liverpool youngster, his enthusiasm and sense of adventure going forward is a joy to watch,” the Belfast Telegraph wrote.

Of course, Bradley also made his senior debut for Liverpool this term. He featured in the Carabao Cup win at Norwich.

So this year has the potential to be a real breakout season for the teenager. He has certainly shown that he has the ability to make an impact on the international stage.

And with Northern Ireland’s thoughts now turning to beyond qualifying for the World Cup, Bradley can surely expect to become a much more prominent fixture in the side in the near future.
