Liverpool ace Andrew Robertson has praised Arsenal counterpart and fellow Scotland international Kieran Tierney, describing him as a “fantastic player” who’s “excellent at what he does”.
Fresh from winning June’s Arsenal Player of the Month award, Tierney put in yet another superb performance as he helped the Gunners secure a 2-1 win over the Reds at the Emirates Stadium.
Beginning the game on the left of the three-man defence but with licence to get forward, Tierney kept Mohamed Salah at bay for much of the encounter.

The 23-year-old also showed superb game management in the closing stages of the match to seal the win.
Arsenal fans saw little of the former Celtic ace prior to the suspension of English football due to injuries, but since the restart he’s been one of Mikel Arteta’s star players.
At international level, Scotland now have two world-class left-backs in their ranks and debate has gone on as to how Steve Clarke can get the best out of both players.
“I’ve spoken to KT before and I think we’re both sick to death of the comparisons,” Robertson told the Lockdown Tactics podcast, as transcribed by Metro.
“He is a fantastic player. I watch him a lot and he’s excellent at what he does. He’s had his injury problems but he’s back now and looks really fit and special.
“What would I do [if I was Scotland manager]? I honestly don’t know. That’s up to the manager.
“There’s a few ways of doing it. We’re just two players playing at a good level. Maybe it’s a conundrum for managers but there’s ways of doing it.”
TBR View:
Arsenal’s season has been a mixed bag to say the least, before and after the suspension, but one of the best things to emerge for the Gunners post-restart has been Tierney’s incredible form.
The North Londoners have had to wait for the Scot to shine, given his injuries prior to the hiatus, but needless to say it’s been worth the wait.
