Liverpool winger Mo Salah will reportedly stay at the club for at least one more season. According to The Mirror, Salah will reject the opportunity to leave for Real Madrid or Juventus for £150m this summer.
But the other projects appeal to Salah and he has not ruled out a future transfer. He will reassess his options again next summer after another campaign at Anfield.
Salah has been exceptional since his summer 2017 move from Roma. In two seasons, the Egypt international has scored 71 goals and provided 29 assists in 104 games.
For two seasons running, Salah has helped Liverpool reach the Champions League final. And he overcame his 2018 disappointment – where he came off injured as Liverpool lost – to score in the 2019 final as the Reds beat Tottenham 2-0.
The 27-year-old will spend next season at Liverpool again despite Real Madrid and Juventus weighing up £150m offers. He will hope to win the Premier League title after falling one point short in 2018/19.
But Liverpool run the risk of losing him in summer 2020. Some top European clubs have been alerted to the fact that he could be on the move next summer.
Keeping Salah for another season is a major boost for Liverpool. Along with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, he provides a constant attacking threat.
But next season could be the right time to cash in on Salah. He will be 28 at that point and £150m is a remarkable amount of money to receive.
