Liverpool midfielder James Milner has faced many opponents in his playing career so far.
The 33-year-old made his professional debut for Leeds United all the way back in 2002 aged just 16, meaning he has shared the field with thousands of players down the years.
The star has now revealed current Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha has given him the most trouble out of anyone, having faced him four times in the red of Liverpool.

Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, he said: “I’ve been sent off for tackles on him twice. He’s a talent. Unpredictable.
“You see how difficult it is to deal with him when you’re watching him. And when you play against Zaha he’s tricky and very tough to face.”
That is quite the compliment from Milner, who has of course only recently shared the field with one Lionel Messi. Milner of course, also faced Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2018 Champions League final.
TBR’s view – Milner comments show how good Zaha is
Milner is a tenacious midfielder, capable of defending and pressing extremely well.

For him to say Zaha has been the individual to give him the most trouble is a clear indicator of the Ivorian’s talents – players these days have easy afternoons against the workhorse Milner.
The flamboyant 26-year-old – who earns £130,000-a-week at Selhurst Park (Spotrac) – will next pitch up against Liverpool on November 23, giving Milner a few weeks to prepare himself.
