Liverpool have made a flawless start to the 2024-25 campaign and some of their players have carried on their fine form to their respective national teams.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was the star of the show for England against the Republic of Ireland and Finland as he collected successive Man of the Match awards for his blistering performances.
However, the gifted right-back wasn’t the only Liverpool player who made a massive impression for his country.
Ryan Gravenberch was one of the best players on the pitch for the Netherlands in their 2-2 UEFA Nations League draw against Germany.
And the Dutch media have showered praise on the towering midfielder for finally delivering the good for his country.
Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch steals the show for Netherlands

Gravenberch provided an assist for Tijjani Reijnders and produced a dominant display at the heart of the midfield for Ronald Koeman.
Voetbal International rated his performance eight out of ten and highlighted just how much he has improved since Slot replaced Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool boss.
“Gravenberch was lucky last summer to be able to go to the European Championship due to injuries in midfield but has undergone a transformation since the arrival of Arne Slot at Liverpool.
“This was already evident on Saturday against Bosnia-Herzegovina and again on Tuesday against Germany. The former Ajax player earned praise for a flawless pass over fifty meters to Xavi Simons.”
Voetbal Primeur took it up a notch. Although he was once again rated eight out of ten, they described his performance as a ‘treat’ to watch.
“With a great shot, he gave Simons a huge chance after twenty minutes. The tone was set again. Gravenberch’s game was once again a treat. Perhaps the revelation of this week.”
Gravenberch’s stats vs Germany
Gravenberch had 51 touches with a pass accuracy of 90% (37/41), while he also made two key passes and created as many big chances.
The 22-year-old won five ground fuels and completed two dribbles, which is a clear indication that he was a menacing presence in defence as well as in attack.
With a Sofascore rating of 7.9, he emerged as the highest-rated Netherlands player on the pitch to cap off yet another fine display this season.
Rafael van der Vaart showered high praise on Gravenberch after the game and the midfielder will look to continue his fine form in the coming weeks for Liverpool.
