Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has been a revelation for the Reds since joining the club last summer.
The Brazilian is now an established name in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI having excelled at the base of the German’s midfield.

It took him some time to force his way in, as it did for Andy Robertson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but the impressive 25-year-old is in there to stay.
Fabinho pitched up at Anfield shortly after the club’s defeat to Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League final, and fans were impressed with how swiftly the transfer was completed.
The ex-AS Monaco man has now revealed that Reds attacker and compatriot Roberto Firmino was partly responsible for the successful transfer.

He said: “I remember that after one of my games for Monaco, against Marseille, where I’d played well and scored, Firmino sent me a message and we started to talk.
“He said: ‘The coach asked about you, what I thought about you, I talked you up a little bit’.
“We exchanged some messages for a while and I asked him some things about Liverpool and that was it for a while.”
Fabinho then explained the £44 million transfer was completed after being sold on potential life at Liverpool.
TBR’s view
Liverpool fans will be delighted to learn of Firmino’s contribution to the Fabinho transfer.

Thanks in-part to him, the Reds now boast one of Europe’s most effective holding midfield players.
The versatile star was brilliant in his final title-winning year at Monaco and he has shown everybody just what great value he was.
