Isaac Christie-Davies moved on loan to Belgian top-tier side Cercle Brugge earlier this month from Liverpool but the young midfielder has immediately suffered set-back, confirming on Instagram that he has undergone surgery.
Christie-Davies, 22, was one of the Liverpool rookies to play against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup quarter-final in December. He lasted 77 minutes of the 5-0 defeat, which is his only senior appearance for The Reds.
The midfielder joined Liverpool in the summer of 2018 from Chelsea, and has since been a regular in the club’s Under-23 side. Indeed, the two-time Wales Under-21 international has clocked up 25 appearances for Liverpool’s reserves.

On January 8, Christie-Davies left Liverpool on loan for the first time – the first loan spell of his career – to Belgian side Cercle Brugge who are currently struggling in the top tier of the Belgian Pro League.
Sitting rock bottom, Cercle Brugge signed Christie-Davies on loan – which saw him join ex-Chelsea youth teammate Jonathan Panzo who is also on loan. Ex-Rangers man Lassana Coulibaly and Eden Hazard’s brother Kylian also play for the club.
However, just 10 days after joining the top-tier side and without making a single appearance, Christie-Davies has confirmed on Instagram that he has undergone surgery on Saturday – with reports claiming it is a knee problem.
