Liverpool should go all out for Eduardo Camavinga, as agent opens door to move

Liverpool are looking set for a busy summer transfer window this year, with manager Jurgen Klopp said to be keen on making a number of additions.

Despite Klopp playing down talk of a complete rebuild, Liverpool’s disastrous season in the Premier League means new blood is needed. A new defender is a must, so is a striker. But with Gini Wijnaldum also looking more and more likely to leave, another midfielder is also likely to be on the agenda.

And one player who Liverpool should go all out for if they can do it financially, is Rennes and France starlet, Eduardo Camavinga.

But there could be a door opening for Camavinga in terms of a move to the Premier League. His agent, Jonathan Barnett, has this week discussed a potential move for his man. While AS have also reported that while Real Madrid are fans, the uncertain future of Zinedine Zidane could put Camavinga off a move.

Rennes are likely to demand just shy of £50m for Camavinga, according to Barnett, but that is not something that should put Liverpool off.

Liverpool and Camavinga a potential match made in heaven

While Camavinga might only be 18, this is a player who already has bags of experience. He’s been a regular for Rennes for a while now and has already played, and scored a stunner, for France.

Barnett describes the Frenchman as a ‘lovely boy’ who he believes is ‘going to be a superstar’ (Goal).  Further, Marca have also deemed Camavinga the best youngster in the world previously, with the publication insisting the French starlet ‘has it all’.

The aforementioned goal for France showed his quality in one swift move. And there is so much more to give and to come from Camavinga that if someone can land him for around £50m, they might just get a big bargain.

Liverpool, then, with a gap in midfield and a crucial summer approaching, should seize the moment and beat Madrid to the signing.
