Report: Liverpool now set to sign ‘incredible’ South American, he’s flying to England this morning

Liverpool are set to sign Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, with the Brazilian expected to fly to England this morning to complete the move.

According to Sky Sports, Melo is the midfielder Liverpool have turned to in order to bolster their squad on deadline and given Jurgen Klopp a welcome boost.

The ‘incredible’ Melo has been linked with Arsenal for some time now but the Gunners never got a deal over the line and it now looks like Liverpool will be the ones to sign the Brazilian star. The Reds are desperate for reinforcements in midfield after a catalogue of injuries has threatened their title challenge already.

Liverpool did win against Newcastle last night but Jordan Henderson came off injured and that has likely sparked the Reds into action with Melo.

TBR’s View: Melo A Good Stop Gap For Liverpool

This will do nicely for the Reds at the moment. They need someone in and Melo is more than capable of doing the business at Anfield.

There is a reason Arsenal have tracked him for so long and that’s because Melo simply has the quality to make an impact in the Premier League.

On a short-term basis anyway, the signing of Melo by Liverpool makes plenty of sense.
