Fans react to Mohamed Salah’s FIFA 19 rating

Salah, rated 88, is three lower than Hazard, 91.

With the new season in full swing, the annual release of the next instalment in EA Sport’s FIFA franchise is right around the corner – and Liverpool fans have had a lot to say on the matter.

The build-up to the release later this month has included a countdown of the top-rated players in FIFA 19 and EA Sport’s official Twitter account revealed the rating of Reds star Mohamed Salah earlier this week has risen to 88.

Salah’s initial rating on last year’s edition was just 83 and he has shot-up as a result of his starring performances in his debut season at Anfield, winning the Premier League’s Golden Boot and propelling Jurgen Klopp’s side to the Champions League final.

However, eagle-eyed supporters on social media spotted that the rating for Chelsea‘s Eden Hazard has yet to be revealed and it was confirmed today that the Belgium international was rated in the game’s top ten players, three ratings above Salah at 91 overall.

Fans of Salah immediately flocked to share their opinion on the matter, with those selected below baffled that Hazard, who scored 20 league goals less than Salah last season, was deemed to be the superior player.

The issue though is that FIFA’s ratings are not solely based upon the past 12 months and Salah still has to prove his spectacular season last term was not a fluke, while Hazard has consistently shown himself to be one of the finest players in the Premier League since moving to Stamford Bridge.

At the current time on paper, you would select Salah in your side over Hazard but real life is not FIFA’s Ultimate Team and the Egypt international has work to do this season if he is to continue his stellar rise.
