Liverpool head into their game with Atletico Madrid this evening knowing that anything but a victory will see them eliminated from the Champions League.

The Reds trail 1-0 from the first leg and during their game with Los Rojiblancos at the Wanda Metropolitano, they failed to register a single shot on target.

One man who will be instrumental to Liverpool’s chances of overturning the deficit will be forward Sadio Mane. Along with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, he will hope to fire this evening.

Ahead of the contest, the 27-year-old has taken to Instagram to post that Liverpool must ‘go again’, including a picture of him celebrating after scoring against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Mane has been a revelation at Liverpool since making a £34 million move from Southampton back in 2016. He has netted 77 goals and registered 34 assists in 160 appearances for the club.

Former Liverpool player Alberto Moreno posted a response back to the Senegalese international, giving him a rallying cry ahead of this evening’s game.

The 27-year-old left for Villarreal in the summer but is clearly still a big follower of Liverpool’s fortunes.

He spent five years at Anfield, playing 141 games before leaving in the summer after last season’s Champions League success.

Mane was clearly close to Moreno during his time on Merseyside, responded to the left-back telling him that he missed him around the club.
