The Mirror report that three different Premier League clubs, including the Reds, are tracking the situation of Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw, as his future looks in doubt at Old Trafford after failing to impress Jose Mourinho this season. Tottenham and Manchester City are also thought to be keen.
The former Southampton man has only made one Premier League start since October after being frozen out by Mourinho – with doubts over his fitness and attitude, rather than just his quality – and could look to prove himself elsewhere with a move this summer.
Another player whose future seems to be more clear is young winger Harry Wilson, as the Liverpool Echo report that the club have rejected an enquiry from former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, at Celtic, into the availability of the Welshman on loan or a permanent basis.
Jurgen Klopp is believed to see the under 23s’ captain as part of his plans for the first team next season, having appeared at that level for the Reds this campaign under the German, if only rarely. However, there’s bound to be interest in the exciting midfielder from across the UK.
Daniel Sturridge’s future is also unclear, but the striker will miss the June internationals for England against Scotland in a World Cup qualifier and a friendly against France after bizarrely playing through the pain of a hip injury in the club’s friendly against Sydney FC on Wednesday, say the Liverpool Echo.
The 27-year-old forward has two years left on his £150,000 per week contract but has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs after making just seven league starts in the 2016/17 season, working out at £1.2 million per start in wages across the course of the full season.
