Spanish journalist Alberto Collado, of Spanish radio station Onda Cero, claims that Alberto Moreno is prepared to leave the club this summer in pursuit of regular first team football having dropped even further down the pecking order after Jurgen Klopp chose to play Trent Alexander-Arnold at right wing back and move Nathaniel Clyne to the left side for the visit to Stoke City over the weekend.

Klopp clearly does not trust Moreno’s defensive judgement and it’s thought that the Spaniard would be open to the idea of a potential return to Sevilla if his former club come in for him in the summer, which could be best for all parties.

Another man whose Anfield future is in major doubt is Crystal Palace loanee Mamadou Sakho. Since leaving he has been a revelation for Sam Allardyce’s team, and ESPN and the Independent report on his interview with French outlet Telefoot, in which he said:

“I still have three years on my Liverpool contract. If I have to wear the Liverpool shirt again, I’ll do so with pleasure. If I have to wear another shirt … we’ll see… I was late, that happens in every squad, I paid a fine. I don’t know what more I can do. It’s the boss, he made his decision. You have to respect it… I had the objective of the Euros, I missed it, I was made to miss it. Now the World Cup is an objective. I’m only 27, I’m young, determined, with the same desire, above all the same person. You don’t change your mentality.”

Once again impressive in victory over Arsenal on Monday night, Sakho continues to impress and is reportedly interesting a number of clubs as they target a potential move to bring him in to strengthen their back lines.

One man who could replace Alberto Moreno if he leaves, as James Milner’s deputy, could be Fulham’s teen sensation Ryan Sessegnon, according to Goal. They claim that the England youth international is top of Liverpool’s list of targets, ahead of reported alternative Theo Hernandez.

Sessegnon has shot to fame in the Championship this season with his performances on the left, and it’s thought that he would come in as a long term replacement for vice-captain Milner and would not immediately shoulder the pressure of slotting straight into the first team.
