Sensational Ramsey move from Liverpool?

It may seem hard to believe but transfer expert Ian McGarry believes that Liverpool may have shown an interest in Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey. The news comes from Transfer Window Podcast, where McGarry suggests that such a move may be possible this summer.

“There’s a little bit of interest from Liverpool, I understand.”

Transfer expert Ian McGarry teased what he knows.

The Welshman’s contract is soon to come to an end in north London and with his former-team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain likely to miss the entirety of the 2018/19 season, there could be an opening for Ramsey. After signing up Fabinho and Naby Keita, it seems unlikely, he may be tempted by the offer of a Merseyside move.

Realism over Origi

With the transfer window deadline closing in, Liverpool are finally aware that their  £26 million price tag for misfiring striker Divock Origi may be too high, according to the Mirror. The club are now considering any offers at lower levels following Origi’s woeful loan spell in Germany and even worse pre-season with the reds.

It serves as a blow for the club, particularly given that he would have been counted on as a potential source of income. What’s more, the only serious offers to date have been for loan moves which do not fit with the club’s desire to raise funds by cutting off the driftwood.

Lallana suffers setback

It’s been a frustrating few months for Adam Lallana after a pre-World Cup injury cost him much of last season and his place in the England squad. The Liverpool Echo say that the number seven has picked up yet another fitness issue and will not be ready to play until later this season.

Marko Grujic and Danny Ings have also returned to Merseyside rather than fly to Ireland to watch the Reds take on Napoli, whilst Joel Matip has been hard at work at Melwood as he regains fitness from a muscle scare around two weeks ago.
