Liverpool remain interested in Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and would now be aware of the price-tag the French side have placed on him.
As reported by RMC Sport, Liverpool are one of four teams that remain active regarding a potential Aouar swoop.
Juventus and PSG are both interested. Liverpool’s closest Premier League rivals Manchester City are also fond of the 21-year-old. That should come as no surprise considering their manager Pep Guardiola openly gushed about his performances when City faced the French side in the Champions League. As reported by Sky Sports, Guardiola dubbed the midfield dynamo ‘incredible’.

The report states that Liverpool remain ‘very interested’ in the French international but there has not yet been any direct contact between the clubs. The player’s asking price is in the figure of €50 million (£44.6m), according to the report.
A report from The Mirror last month suggested Aouar and RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner were set to be Liverpool’s main transfer targets before the global health crisis enforced a lockdown and put financial strain on the Merseyside club.
It would seem that interest remains but whether Liverpool are willing to pay the supposed asking price remains up for debate.
