Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Schalke 04 midfielder Amine Harit, according to reports.

The Moroccan midfielder is currently excelling under the guidance of David Wagner, the ex-Huddersfield Town boss and close personal friend of Anfield chief Jurgen Klopp.

Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Liverpool ‘studies’ the talented Moroccan and that his value has recently increased to around €20 million (£17m).

It comes amid an excellent season in the Bundesliga for the player so far this campaign. Harit has scored five goals and provided four assists in 13 appearances for the Gelsenkirchen club.

Harit has turned his fortunes around after he was involved in a fatal car accident last summer which precipitated a poor season with the German side. Now, he is looking like a real talent yet again and Liverpool would be right to be keeping tabs.

The fact that Klopp and Wagner are so close cannot be underestimated in this case either. Wagner has finally harnessed the best of Harit and he would undoubtedly find it hard to leave his new influential coach behind in Germany.

But if the option was to work with Klopp, undoubtedly Harit would be more than welcome to the idea and Liverpool would be bringing in a potentially impressive talent.
