Liverpool have pencilled in the trip to Old Trafford as a potential return date for injured goalkeeper Alisson, according to a report by Goal.
The Champions of Europe travel to their bitterest rivals on 20 October and the Reds have apparently got their eye on that match for the stopper to make his comeback to first team action.
Liverpool are apparently keen to be cautious with the Brazilian to ensure he doesn’t get further injured, and he will not be considered for selection before the international break this month.
But Alisson has apparently impressed in training, making good progress, and is hoping to continue that in the coming days with one eye on the United trip.

TBR’s View – Adrian has deputised so well that Liverpool don’t need to rush Alisson back
When Alisson was put out of action, there were fears about how Adrian being parachuted into a title chase might impact Liverpool.
But as it’s proved, the Reds have won every single Premier League match with him between the sticks, and put some clear water between themselves and Manchester City.
That means that while Alisson’s return will undoubtedly be a boost, they don’t have to rush him back to action until he is completely ready and fit again.
There won’t be any fears about going to Old Trafford with Adrian in goal if that’s what has to happen. But of course, Liverpool will be even stronger when Alisson is back and on top form once again.
