Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Harvey Barnes.
According to Goal.com, the Reds recruitment team has looked at the Leicester ace as a potential summer target.
If the above report is true, Liverpool fans should be excited about the prospect of landing Barnes, as he’s a truly top player.

Liverpool target Barnes – the story so far
Barnes has been one of Leicester’s standout players since his first-team breakthrough in 2019.
The £61,000-a-week ace has clocked up 100 competitive appearances in blue, registering 21 goals and 15 assists.
Barnes featured 35 times last season for his club, registering 13 goals and four assists.
His efforts have helped Leicester win the FA Cup and Community Shield on top of establishing them in the Premier League’s top six.

Barnes style of play
Last February, Breaking the Lines wrote the following about the talented attacker:
“Harvey Barnes has elevated his game this season, progressing from a hard-working talent in 2019-20 to a more precocious, efficient, output-oriented player in 2020-21.
“He has always had directness and intensity in possession, but improved finishing and an appetite for involvement coming off the left has seen him perform consistently and begin to excel in certain facets of the game.

“To make the next step from a consistent contributor to a persistent, unpredictable threat in attack, Barnes could do with a larger degree of positional freedom/rotation and a more accomplished 1v1 technique, rather than primarily using pace and intensity to beat defenders.
“His shooting technique from distance has improved his abilities against deep blocks already.”
Liverpool’s famed attacking trident wasn’t at its best last season, and a player of Barnes’ calibre would certainly bolstering their front line further.
Barnes can also play in central midfield, which would mean he could potentially replace Georginio Wijnaldum.
