Liverpool might have just got a deal over the line for Colombian winger, Luis Diaz, but that doesn’t mean that the club’s interest in Leeds star Raphinha has waned at all.
The Reds have been keen on the Brazilian superstar for some time now. It is common knowledge he is admired at Anfield, and Liverpool have been tipped to make a move eventually. Of course, for now at least, he remains in West Yorkshire after Leeds resisted tentative interest in January from a number of clubs.

However, the summer could be a different story. According to The Athletic, Liverpool remain very much keen on Raphinha, despite just spending big on Diaz. Their report claims that it would be no surprise to see the links emerge again some the summer months. It is thought Raphinha is being considered alongside Diaz as Liverpool’s long-term solutions to Sadio Mane and Mo Salah eventually declining or even leaving.
Raphinha, 25, has been outstanding once again this season for Leeds. Indeed, former Leeds forward Robbie Keane lauded the Brazilian as ‘incredible’ earlier in January. Certainly, it is a word which befits a player of Raphinha’s quality and end product this season.
TBR’s View: Raphinha At Liverpool Is Dreamland For Klopp
Imagine being an opposition defender and seeing Salah and Mane go off, to be replaced by Diaz and Raphinha, or vice-versa. The prospect is frightening.
However, it’s one that could become a reality. For all the stick FSG have had while at Liverpool, they acted quickly and decisively to land Diaz last week. And you’d have to think if Raphinha comes available, they’d do the same again.
Of course, Leeds will want huge money. But that could be money well spent by Liverpool, who are a team Raphinha would fit into perfectly.
