Liverpool predicted XI v Wolves: £100k-a-week star dropped as 'incredible' 22-year-old comes in
Liverpool will hope to make it five wins in a row in all competitions on Saturday.
The Reds head to Wolves in a 3pm Premier League kickoff.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges have been outstanding since the international break ended, scoring four goals in three of their last four games.
Liverpool hammered Arsenal 4-0 on 20 November before beating Porto 2-0 in the Champions League four days later.
Up next, Liverpool head to Molineux to face Diogo Jota’s former club, currently eighth in the Premier League table.
So, who could Klopp pick in the Liverpool starting XI?
With the Reds in such great form, Klopp will be eager to maintain the momentum.
In addition, the top of the league is ever so tight, so it’s especially vital for them to go all out on Saturday.
And given the Champions League game with AC Milan next week is a dead rubber, Klopp could well make widescale changes then.
The only change we predict the Liverpool boss will make is at centre-back, with Joel Matip making way for Ibrahima Konate.
The £100,000-a-week defender was rested after the Porto game and we predict Klopp will do the same thing.
Klopp has used Konate sparingly since his move to Anfield but the “incredible talent” – in the manager’s words – could have an opportunity to shine on Saturday.
While Kostas Tsimikas has been knocking on the door, we feel Klopp will stick with Andrew Robertson against Wolves and include the Greece ace against Milan.
Likewise, plenty of other first-teamers could be rested next week, but with so little between the Premier League’s top sides, Klopp should stick with his big guns.
Liverpool predicted starting XI v Wolves (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Mane
