In 63 games for Barcelona, he has scored 19 goals and claimed 11 assists. This season he has just four goals and two assists in La Liga.

There is no indication at this stage that Liverpool will rival the Red Devils for his signature.

The Reds should ensure that they stay out of the running too.

Coutinho made his bed when he chose to leave back in 2018 and valuation doesn’t represent value for money.

Four goals and two assists is an abysmal return at a club like Barcelona and Liverpool have moved on.

The 26-year-old earns around £200k-a-week (Total Sportek) and that kind of money would be better spent elsewhere by Liverpool.
