Liverpool fans praise Paul Glatzel following FA Youth Cup win over Watford

Liverpool reached the FA Youth Cup Final for the first time in over a decade by beating Watford 2-1 at Anfield yesterday.

The Reds edged through against the Hornets thanks to a brace from the in-form Paul Glatzel.

The 18-year-old scored goal number seven and number eight for this season’s FA Youth Cup, setting up a final against either West Brom or Manchester City.

The Reds last won the competition when they defeated Manchester United on penalties following a 2-2 draw over two legs in 2007.

The class of 2019 will be hoping to emulate that team and stand a great chance of doing so.

Glatzel and Bobby Duncan were once again in red hot form for Barry Lewtas’ men. Glatzel, in particular, is a real showstopper just now and his form is earning rave reviews.

Liverpool supporters will be delighted to hear of the young guns’ latest feat.

The club is steeped in history but they are also proud of their heritage which gives academy stars a chance to play first-team football.

The 18-year-old striker Glatzel netted his 21st goal yesterday and some fans are now calling for a chance in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
