Reading boss Jose Gomes has told Berkshire Live that on-loan Liverpool youngster Ovie Ejaria has lots of talent.
The 21-year-old arrived at Reading for the season during the summer and the Royals hold an option to buy him in a year’s time.
Ejaria netted his first goal of the campaign in last night’s 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion in a bittersweet match for the midfielder.
Although he netted a thunderbolt to give Gomes’ team the lead, he also gave away the penalty which allowed Kenneth Zohore to equalise.

Gomes still had praise for the youngster, however, and was happy with his showing.
He told Berkshire Live: “He showed last season that he’s a great talent and he can improve his performance.
“There are some details of his game which he can improve. I spoke to him during the week about his game and in my opinion if he plays as he does and he shoots more then his level will improve a lot.
“He tried in the first half here but it wasn’t a very strong shot. In the second half, his goal was great. If you don’t shoot it’s difficult to score so you must shoot.”
Ejaria does actually have first-team appearances under his belt at Liverpool. He made his debut in a League Cup tie against Derby in 2016 and made a further seven appearances in the team.
TBR Verdict – Liverpool days numbered but Premier League could beckon for Ejaria
In a statement on their official website, Liverpool have already said their goodbyes to Ejaria.

That shouldn’t mean the end to the youngster’s chances of playing in the Premier League, however.
His form so far for the Royals this season has indicated that he could well cut it at the highest level at some point during his career.
Already he looks like he could be a shrewd addition for the Championship outfit.
On his day Ejaria possesses a real x-factor element to his game and the challenge for Gomes is to polish the roughness and transform him into an even better player.
