Barcelona are considering selling Ousmane Dembele this summer and the player has Liverpool in mind as a preferred destination, according to Team Talk.
The French striker has struggled for regular game time at the Nou Camp. His hopes of more opportunities will be further restricted should Barca land Antoine Griezmann.
There is a catch of sorts for Liverpool, however.
The Catalan giants will only sell Dembele if a club is willing to pay the £90 million paid by Barcelona to Dortmund in 2017.
It was reported by the Daily Mail back in November that Liverpool may launch a bid for the versatile forward.
In 65 games for the Spanish giants, he has scored 18 goals and registered 17 assists.
Following this latest update on Dembele’s availability, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be forthcoming with a bid.
Dembele wouldn’t be a bad signing but it would represent a massive risk.
The French forward is versatile and at 22-years-old he is still relatively young.
He has, however, already had his fair share of niggling injury problems and as a result, £90 million might not represent value for money.
If any manager in world football can get Dembele firing it is Jurgen Klopp.
It is little surprise that the player has earmarked Anfield as a preferred destination and he obviously sees himself thriving under the German.
