Boss Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to get his hands on the elusive top-flight crown next season after tasting success in Europe.

In order to do topple the Citizens, he is likely to target a foray into the transfer market.

With a good squad already in place at Anfield, quality over quantity will probably be the strategy for the coming months.

One man who is of interest to Liverpool is Nicolas Pepe.

The Lille winger was in sensational form last season, scoring 23 goals and registering 12 assists to lead his team into Champions League qualification.

He is currently on international duty with the Ivory Coast. The trickster has four goals to his name from 11 appearances for his country.

According to L’Equipe, Pepe is now subject of an £80 million bid from Inter Milan.

It might seem like an astronomical amount for Liverpool to even consider but the Reds cannot let Inter steal their thunder.

Pepe’s good form last season came playing as a right-winger. That wouldn’t see him fit naturally into a Klopp system, although his goal return does suggest strong finishing qualities.

It was fine margins between success and failure last season for Liverpool.

The Premier League crown is what the supporters desperately crave and Pepe could prove to be an £80 million masterstroke.

If Klopp is a fan of Pepe then he should do whatever it takes to land him this summer.
