Wherever the Premier League title ends up this season, Liverpool have had an absolutely brilliant season.
The Reds are currently top of the pile on 85 points, but have played one game more than Manchester City who are only two points further back.
It has been a colossal effort from Jurgen Klopp’s men, who have done so well to run the reigning champions this close.

There have been a number of outstanding players this term for the Reds; from Alisson between the sticks, to the imperious Virgil van Dijk in defence, to the ever-willing full-backs Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, to the frightening trident that is Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
A large percentage of Liverpool’s first-team can lay claim to having had a good season, but one man who the club will need back to his best next term, is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The England international has been unable to kick a ball so far this season having spent the best part of a year recovering from a serious knee injury.
The ex-Arsenal ace was badly injured against AS Roma in last year’s Champions League semi-final, which caused him to miss the final and the World Cup with England.

Before his hammer blow, Chamberlain was showing some of his best form since joining the club, and the Reds would love to see that again next term.
Despite playing so well Liverpool have at times missed his injection of pace in the middle and also his goal threat, and his return to full fitness for the 2019/20 season will be a major boost.
