Liverpool thrashed local rivals Everton 5-2 at Anfield last night, maintaining their eight-point cushion at the top of the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp used the game as an opportunity to give some of his fringe players some much-needed game time.
Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana all received the nod to start.
The trio didn’t disappoint. Origi and Shaqiri both scored, whilst Lallana was at his energetic best.

One man who didn’t win a starting berth, however, was Naby Keita.
The midfield maestro was forced to settle for a place on the bench and wasn’t even introduced for a cameo by Klopp.
Injury issues have restricted him to just two Premier League appearances this season. In the absence of Fabinho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, it was anticipated Keita might get the nod to play.
The Guinea-born performer cost Liverpool £48 million (BBC Sport) in 2018 but fitness concerns have stopped him making a real impact.

Following his latest omission, the club’s supporters have been discussing what it might mean for his future.
Some have been speculation exactly why he wasn’t introduced at all.
Here is a selection of tweets from Liverpool fans on the absence of the £120,000-a-week (Spotrac) star for the visit of Everton:
