Borussia Dortmund are weighing up a move for Liverpool starlet Bobby Duncan, according to The Mirror.

Since Jadon Sancho switched Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund, there is a recent trend of young Englishmen moving abroad.

Sancho has thrived in Germany and made his senior England debut recently.

With more first-team opportunities in the Bundesliga, this is a career path that many young players are thinking about taking.

And Duncan has been targeted as one of the most promising young English players.

But Liverpool must resist interest from Borussia Dortmund and keep the young striker at Anfield.

The Reds must look to the future and ensure that they keep their best young players, like Duncan.

The England youth international is prolific at age group level and definitely has the potential to break into the first-team one day.

Liverpool do have a couple of trump cards in this transfer saga, though.

Duncan is Steven Gerrard’s cousin and he is a boyhood Liverpool supporter. He will surely want to emulate his cousin and become a Liverpool fans’ favourite.

Moreover, he must look at Trent Alexander-Arnold’s rapid rise from the academy to becoming a first-team regular.

Duncan does not need to move abroad to further his career.
