Liverpool and Manchester United are set to go head-to-head this summer to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe. The Daily Express are reporting that Jurgen Klopp is ready to make an official offer for the talisman.
The Ivory Coast international has been in scintillating form for the Ligue 1 outfit this term, netting 20 goals and contributing 12 assists.
The report claims that it could take up to £60 million to land the 23-year-old from the French top-flight.

Pepe can operate either on the wing or in a centre-forward role. His form this season has alerted the Premier League giants towards his services.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will undergo a major squad rebuilding process at Old Trafford this summer, whilst Klopp will look to maintain their form from the current campaign.
TBR Verdict
Pepe certainly looks like being a bright prospect in world football.
Liverpool and Manchester United’s interest isn’t really surprising given the number of goals he has played a part in this season.

Operating as a right-winger this season he has hit the 20-goal mark and the quality is there for all to see.
Pepe would fit nicely with Klopp’s style of play, although he would have to wrestle one of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah out of the team.
Signing any player for £60 million would represent a risk, particularly as he hasn’t played in the Premier League before. His goal and assist ratio dictates that he could well be a risk worth taking for either Liverpool or United, however.
