Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle are all keen on signing Porto attacking midfielder Otavio this summer, according to a report from A Bola.
The Portuguese outlet reports how a number of Premier League clubs are watching the Brazilian born star. Otavio recently made his debut for Portugal and even got himself on the scoresheet in their World Cup playoff against Turkey last week.
It’s claimed that any buying club will need to shell out around £50m for Otavio. That’s his release-clause as things stand, and Porto are hoping that someone will pay that full amount.

For Liverpool, this would be an interesting move given they’ve just signed Luis Diaz. However, Otavio does play on the right and he could well be being looked at as a replacement for Mo Salah. The Egyptian star has yet to sign a new contract as the concern over his future grows.
Otavio has been a regular for Porto once again this season. He’s scored five goals but it is his assists which are catching the eye, with 12 to his name already. Indeed, the South American has more than 60 assists in total with the Portuguese giants.
TBR’s View: Otavio A Decent Option If Not Expensive
At 27, Otavio is probably coming into his prime years so if a club is going to spend money on him, then the time is probably now for him to do that.
He’s certainly a talented player. On his day, he’s good enough to tear any winger apart in the league and it would be interesting to see him in England. Of course, Liverpool fans have been thrilled with the new addition of Luis Diaz, so if Otavio could do similar then they’d be delighted.
However, at £50m, it does seem an expensive punt. Newcastle, who are also mentioned, might well be the more likely destination here.
