Liverpool have been fairly quiet in the transfer market so far this summer, but there’s still plenty of time for them to get new signings on board.
The Reds are yet to buy or sell anyone this summer, and the only movement at Anfield has involved players leaving on free transfers or on loan.
Liverpool have been linked with players in defence and midfield to replace Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara, who have departed Anfield on free transfers.
However, there have also been links with attacking players, and one report has now claimed that the Reds have made a bid for one of Turkiye’s top talents.

Liverpool make £25m offer for Baris Alper Yilmaz
According to Ajansspor, Liverpool have made a move for Galatasaray and Turkiye ace Baris Alper Yilmaz.
The Turkish outlet claims that the Reds made contact with the Super Lig champions and submitted a bid worth €30million (£25million) for the 24-year-old.
However, the report does not elaborate on the outcome of Liverpool’s alleged bid for Yilmaz.
As well as Liverpool, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham are said to be eyeing the winger.
Who is Liverpool target Baris Alper Yilmaz?
Yilmaz currently plays for Galatasaray, having made the move from Keciorengucu back in 2021.
He has made 108 appearances for the Turkish giants, registering 11 goals and 14 assists.
Yilmaz has also won 20 caps for Turkiye and played in all five of his nation’s games at Euro 2024.
Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig claimed back in 2021 that Yilmaz boasted 8 out of 10 potential and likened him to Spurs star Son Heung-min.
Gaziantep manager Selcuk Inan recently told NutSpor – via Miligazette – that Yilmaz already has what it takes to shine at Premier League level.
With some improvements with regards to his final ball, he could “easily play” for the likes of Liverpool, he said.
He said: “I think Baris Alper Yilmaz can play very comfortably for many teams in the Premier League at the moment. He’s a very special player. We worked a lot together.
“If Baris Alper improves himself with his final ball, he can easily play for the best clubs in the world such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal.
“He’s a player with a lot of potential. Hopefully, he will get that chance and represent them.”
