Liverpool made wholesale changes to their squad during the summer and one major switch came between the sticks as Loris Karius was ousted.
The signing of Alisson from Roma left the German stopper out of the starting line-up and he subsequently moved on loan to Turkish giants Besiktas, hoping to put his duo of mistakes in the Champions League final behind him.
Unfortunately, it has not quite worked out that way for the 25-year-old goalkeeper as he was back in the headlines on Thursday evening following another major error on the European stage.
In Besiktas’ 2-0 Europa League defeat to Malmo, Karius failed to deal with a deflected cross and allowed the ball to sneak in to open the scoring, while a penalty from Markus Rosenberg later in the match condemned Karius’ side to their first group stage defeat.
Videos of the howler quickly went viral and plenty flocked to social media to share their assessment of another moment to forget for the 25-year-old, who seems to still be struggling with a loss of confidence after his errors against Real Madrid back in May.
Jesus wept just retire or go to spec savers at least you might save some money

So pleased that the club has got rid of him on a long-term loan. Both keepers Mignolet and Karius were accidents waiting to happen. We now have a top notch goalkeeper who will earn the club another ten to fifteen points a season. Which puts the club awfully close to the title.

Sorry to hear it but when you train every day at your profession and these mistakes keep happening it probably means your not very good.
