Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been impressed by Owen Beck’s efforts in first-team training.
The Athletic claims the 19-year-old up joined a first-team session and provided ‘seven or eight excellent crosses’ for Mohamed Salah.
While Beck is apparently not seen as one of the Liverpool academy’s stars, Klopp nonetheless loved what he saw.

This is because he ‘was able to do exactly what he wanted when surrounded by world-class talent’.
Beck’s efforts at the AXA Training Centre apparently paved the way for him to get more opportunities.
The Athletic doesn’t state when the session in question was.
However, Beck made his Liverpool debut in October last year, coming on in the Carabao Cup win over Preston.
The youngster then got 10 minutes in the quarter-final win over Leicester.
Beck has also made the bench three times in the Premier League this term and once in the FA Cup.
“A real prospect”
Ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League meeting with Southampton in November, Klopp lauded the player.
“Now we have different solutions (at LB), it’s good,” the Reds boss told the Liverpool Echo.
“We have Kostas as well and we have Owen Beck coming up, a real prospect, so that’s good for us.”
Beck has come through the ranks at Liverpool after joining from Stoke at Under-13 level.
The Liverpool website describes him as a “forward-thinking left-back”.
Beck, the great-nephew of Liverpool legend Ian Rush, penned a new long-term contract at Anfield in July.
He also broke into the Wales U21 setup this season, making his debut in September.
