Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has today emerged as the number one target for the Real Madrid job should they opt to part with Santiago Solari.
The Independent claims that the German manager is top of Madrid’s three-man shortlist, following last night’s Champions League exit.
Mauricio Pochettino and Max Allegri are the other two names thought to be under consideration.

Klopp has revived Liverpool since taking over in 2015.
The charismatic manager might not have won anything with the Reds just yet, but he has been close on a couple of occasions.
He has overseen defeats in finals of the Champions League, Europa League and League Cup.
This season the Reds are battling hard to try and claim the elusive Premier League crown.
Klopp’s team are a point behind Manchester City at the moment and will hope to pin them back.
Liverpool are yet to win the Premier League since its formation in 1992 and Klopp would earn legendary status should he land it.
The latest news hasn’t gone down well with the club’s supporters.
