Liverpool fans delighted as integral figure could make Champions League return

Liverpool returned to winning ways in the Premier League yesterday with a 2-1 over Bournemouth at Anfield.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane ensured the Reds avoided another defeat, cancelling out Callum Wilson’s early opener.

Jurgen Klopp’s team will face Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg.

Saul Niguez’s goal at the Wanda Metropolitano ensured defeat for Liverpool and Klopp will go in search of another famous Anfield European night in midweek.

Liverpool were decent for large parts of yesterday’s game and in the end, the victory proved to be comfortable.

Some good news emerged after the game that Jordan Henderson will return to training today.

The 29-year-old hasn’t played since the first leg against Los Rojiblancos and the skipper’s return will be timely.

He has proved vitally important to Klopp’s team and losing three games in his absence is perhaps telling.

Henderson has been at Liverpool since 2011. He signed for £20 million and has played 358 games, registering 50 assists.

Following the update that is injury has cleared sufficiently allowing him to return, supporters have been reacting.
