Liverpool are experiencing something of a goalkeeping crisis at the moment, given the injury picked up by Alisson Becker in the first game of the campaign.
Spanish stopper Adrian has filled in during his absence with free agent Andy Lonergan signed to act as an understudy.
One man who Liverpool do have on their books is Caoimhin Kelleher, although he hasn’t been called upon just yet.
He does look like being a big star of the future though and he has caught the eye of his goalkeeping coach whilst on international duty.
The 20-year-old played for the Republic of Ireland under-21s last night as they defeated Sweden 3-1. Some footage has emerged on Twitter of Kelleher completely rinsing Daleho Irandust with some immense footwork.
Liverpool coach John Achterberg was impressed and Tweeted that being calm under pressure is exactly what is needed at Anfield:

Some Liverpool fans might not be in agreement that it’s exactly what is required, although the boy does look one for the future.
Kelleher has been on the bench for the Reds this season and was also among the substitutes when Liverpool lifted the UEFA Super Cup in August. He was also named on the bench for the Champions League final back in June.
If he has caught the eye of Achterberg that can only bode well and should anything happen to Adrian he could be in line for a debut.
The youngster now has six caps for the Ireland under-21s and last night was arguably the pick of the bunch in the way of results.
