Report: Liverpool youngster Isaac Christie-Davies to join Cercle Brugge on loan

The 22-year-old has only played once for the first-team in a Carabao Cup tie.

Liverpool youngster Isaac Christie-Davies is set to sign for Cercle Brugge on loan until the end of the season, according to Goal.

The Reds are set to loan out a few youngsters during the January window. Rhian Brewster joined Swansea City yesterday, whilst Pedro Chirivella is thought to be attracting interest from Nottingham Forest.

The attacking midfielder is out of contract during the summer and will probably leave the club.

A move to Cercle Brugge could help kick-start the career of the former Chelsea youngster, who has never really had a look in at Anfield.

The 22-year-old played 17 times for the under-23 team last season, scoring two goals and registering two assists.

He proved his worth playing in a number of attacking positions and could forge a decent career if he is given a chance to play some football.

Cercle Brugge are fighting to avoid relegation. They currently sit bottom of the First Division and are six points adrift of safety.

He hasn’t had much of a chance at Anfield in terms of the first-team, but his numbers for the under-23s have been patchy too.

Christie-Davies is at a crossroads in his career and it’s vital that he starts hitting the ground running somewhere.

There isn’t a deal of pressure on him at Brugge. The club has endured a miserable campaign, losing 16 of their 21 league games so far.

Getting involved with some goals would be ideal for the Liverpool man as he tries to show people his worth in the professional game.
