Liverpool want Ryan Sessegnon this summer but are resigned to the fact he will join Tottenham Hotspur instead, according to Goal.
They report that the Reds made the young English trickster a transfer target but are not expecting to land him because Reds chiefs believe ‘he will join Tottenham’.
The Sun reported last month that Sessegnon is valued at £50m by Fulham, despite their relegation from the Premier League after just one season.
In truth, it’s Tottenham who are in greater need of reinforcements after a season when their squad has struggled badly with the impact of injuries and fatigue.

Liverpool would likely need Sessegnon to be cover at left back, although having him able to deputise for Sadio Mane out wide on the left of the front three would be useful too.
But Sessegnon, given Mauricio Pochettino’s history of developing young English players, would likely flourish and get more gametime at Spurs.
Given how long it’s been since Tottenham signed anyone, their fans will likely only believe Sessegnon is going to join them when he’s holding up their shirt at the training ground – but Liverpool’s confidence that he will move to north London must be a promising sign.
