Liverpool have wasted no time in strengthening their ranks this summer as Arne Slot looks to build on his maiden Premier League victory.

Jeremie Frimpong has already joined the Reds, while Florian Wirtz is closing in on a move to Liverpool after a deal was struck with Bayer Leverkusen.

In addition, there’s much more to come from Liverpool in the transfer market.

“Liverpool are going to have a huge summer, they are going to strike whilst the iron is hot,” Graeme Bailey exclusively told TBR Football in May.

Now, journalist Lewis Steele has spoken about another signing Liverpool have made alongside Frimpong and Wirtz who’s got an “unbelievable” future.

Armin Pecsi ‘a better signing than people think’

Steele, speaking on his YouTube channel, spoke about Armin Pecsi, who recently signed for Liverpool from Hungarian side Puskas Akademia.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper, who joined for a reported £1.5million, is a Hungary Under-21 international and was a nominee for the 2025 Golden Boy award.

Steele said he spoke to a contact in Hungary who said Pecsi is an “unbelievable” talent for the future and could well shock some people.

“It’s interesting actually, I was speaking to someone today in Hungary,” Steele said. “I’m getting stuff ready for a Kerkez piece when that’s signed.

“He was saying this lad, Armin Pecsi, is unbelievable for the future anyway, that he is a better signing than people think.

“People think he’s making up the numbers, but he’s not.”

What Armin Pecsi could bring to Liverpool

Pecsi made 30 appearances for Puskas Akademia last season as they finished second in the Hungarian top flight.

The 6ft 3in talent has prevented 14.33 goals in the league and has made the most saves out of any goalkeeper (91) in the competition.

Pecsi, who is part of the same agency as Dominik Szoboszlai, is a nominee for the 2025 Golden Boy award alongside the likes of Dean Huijsen and Desire Doue.

It has been reported that Pecsi’s style of play is very similar to that of Mamardashvili.

This suggests Reds fans can expect an imposing, yet agile keeper who’s great at shot-stopping and commands his area well.
