Liverpool are finally starting to make some moves in this summer’s transfer window.
Arne Slot was appointed as the new Reds boss back in May. He succeeded Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, but the Dutchman is yet to make any new signings.
With the new Premier League season less than a month away, fans are getting anxious about their club’s transfer plans for this summer.
However, now, Liverpool have reportedly made contact to sign a hugely exciting player, and we’re sure that will ease some of the fans’ worries.
Liverpool have been in touch with Wolves and Pedro Neto’s agents
Liverpool have been linked with quite a few players in this window.
Many feel a new midfielder has to be the priority, while an argument can be made that the Reds should look to strengthen their defence.
However, the player Liverpool are now trying to sign is actually an attacker.
GiveMeSport have revealed that Liverpool have been in touch with both Wolves and the agents of Pedro Neto over a potential move to Anfield this summer.
It has been claimed that ‘there is a growing expectation’ that the winger’s agent, Jorge Mendes, will ‘push for his client to secure an eye-catching move’ in the coming weeks.
Neto has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham this summer. Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal are said to be interested in Neto too.
The report claims that ‘Slot is seriously contemplating whether to lodge a bid’ to sign Neto, but a move will not be cheap.
Wolves are said to have slapped a £60 million price tag on their star attacker, who still has three years left on his contract.
Neto, branded as ‘incredible’ by Gary O’Neil (BBC), is open to a move away from Wolves as he is keen to play Champions League football in the 2024/25 season.

Do Liverpool even need Neto?
Liverpool’s strength has always been their attack.
The Reds have Mohamed Salah as a guaranteed starter on the right wing, while Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota share the responsibilities on the other side of the pitch.
The likes of Harvey Elliott and young Ben Doak will also be available for Slot in the 2024/25 season.
That’s six different options out wide already for Liverpool, which begs the question as to why they are interested in signing Neto this summer.
However, Salah is 32 already and into the final year of his contract, while Elliott is more a midfielder who can play out wide than the other way around. Doak, still only 18, is not ready to play week in and week out yet.
That’s probably why Liverpool are looking at Neto, and if the price is right, we think he would be a great addition for them this summer.
