It looks like it could be a quiet summer in the transfer market for Liverpool. Whilst the occasional rumour is surfacing, nothing with genuine credence appears to be doing the rounds.
Liverpool fell agonisingly short in the Premier League title race last season but did win the Champions League title in Madrid last weekend.
With that in mind, wholesale improvements are not necessarily needed at Anfield.
But could Liverpool spring another transfer out of the blew, just like they did last summer?

Naby Keita’s arrival from RB Leipzig was already arranged, Xherdan Shaqiri swiftly emerged as a target whilst Alisson was number one keeper option from the moment the transfer window opened.
But Fabinho’s move from Monaco appeared to manifest out of nowhere. As reported by The Independent, Liverpool had been pushing for Fabinho since February. However, sporting director Michael Edwards managed to keep a lid on the deal which was only reported in the UK when it was on the cusp of completion.
The transfer, according to the BBC, set the Reds back £39 million, has proved a worthy one. After an initial settling in period, Fabinho has become a vital member of the Liverpool first-team this season.
Liverpool fans will no doubt hope another big-money deal is going on privately behind closed doors. Because a repeat of Fabinho can only be good for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
