Liverpool fans were full of praise for Keita’s display in frustrating draw with Bayern

Naby Keita’s Liverpool career has taken some time to get going but he is starting to show the Anfield faithful what he can do.

The former RB Leipzig midfielder came up against familiar opposition in the shape of Bayern Munich in the first leg of Liverpool’s last 16 Champions League tie last night.

And while the Reds were unable to get the win they wanted to take to the Allianz Arena, Keita was one of the most impressive performers throughout.

Even in the esteemed company of a Bayern midfield that has performed well in Europe’s top competition down the years, Keita stood out with his powerful dribbling and relentless pressing.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain took most of his first season at Anfield to show what he could do but once he got into the groove, he performed impressively and the same looks to be happening with Keita.

That got the attention of the fans who will have been disappointed not to see their side get a win to take to Germany but enjoyed the performance of the midfielder, who is only going from strength to strength…
