Liverpool fans want to see midfielder Curtis Jones against Watford

Liverpool host Watford on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have stated that youngster Curtis Jones should get some first-team minutes.

The Reds host struggling Watford at Anfield at the weekend and paper it’s a game they will surely win, but stranger things have happened before in football.

Jurgen Klopp’s team are sat top of the division with a staggering 46 points from the 16 league games so far, while upcoming opponents Watford are rock bottom with only nine points in total.

Klopp has managed to rotate his team well in recent weeks during a busy schedule and the Merseyside outfit played in Austria in midweek away to Red Bull Salzburg, as they qualified for the Champions League knockout rounds.

It remains to be seen if there will be wholesale changes against Watford, but there is the upcoming Club World Cup and also League Cup quarter-final on the horizon next week.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media have rallied to claim that academy graduate Jones should play at home to Watford.

The midfielder has played just three senior games all season, which included his Premier League debut last weekend in the win over Bournemouth from the bench.

He is a talented 18-year-old that plays in the centre of the park where he can dictate play, but he also has an eye for goal and has been lethal at Under-23s level when pushing forward.
